Ave Maria Arts & Innovation Circle is a family-owned educational enrichment provider serving homeschool families throughout the San Antonio metropolitan area. We offer academic enrichment, STEAM, fine arts, performing arts, and other educational experiences for children and teens.
Is Ave Maria AIC a school?
No. AIC is an educational enrichment provider rather than a traditional private school. Our programs are designed to complement and enrich a family's homeschool education through specialized classes, hands-on learning, creative experiences, and opportunities for students to learn alongside their peers.
Who can participate in AIC programs?
Our programs are primarily designed for homeschool students, with offerings for a variety of ages and grade levels. Individual class descriptions identify the appropriate age or grade range.
Do you serve neurodiverse students?
Yes. AIC welcomes typical, gifted, twice-exceptional, neurodiverse, and other learners. We recognize that children learn in different ways and strive to provide welcoming and flexible learning environments that support individual strengths and needs.
Because each class and student's needs are different, families are encouraged to contact us before registration if their child requires significant accommodations or individualized support so we can determine whether a particular program is an appropriate fit.
What types of classes do you offer?

Where are classes held?
AIC uses a community-based model rather than operating exclusively from one campus. We collaborate with community partners and host classes at various locations throughout the San Antonio metropolitan area.

Why does AIC use multiple community locations?
Partnering with local organizations allows us to bring enrichment opportunities into different parts of the San Antonio community while giving families access to spaces appropriate for particular activities. For example, performing arts, STEAM, and academic programs may have different space and equipment needs.
Do I have to enroll in several classes?
No. Families can select individual classes and programs based on their child's interests, educational goals, age, and schedule. When available, AIC may also offer packages or bundled programs.
Are your programs only academic?
No. We believe children's development extends beyond academics. Our programs are designed to provide opportunities for intellectual, creative, social, emotional, and physical development depending on the nature of the class.
Students may develop skills such as communication, collaboration, confidence, creativity, perseverance, problem-solving, self-expression, and independence while exploring subjects that interest them.
Do parents stay during class?
Parent participation requirements vary by program, age group, location, and the level of support a student may need. Some programs may allow drop-off, while others may require or encourage a parent or caregiver to remain on site. Please review the individual class description for specific requirements.
Does my child need previous experience?
Most beginner-level AIC programs do not require previous experience unless specifically stated in the class description. Our goal is to provide opportunities for students to explore new interests while building skills progressively.
Are supplies included?
This varies by program. Many classes include standard instructional materials, while specialized programs may have an additional materials fee or require families to purchase certain supplies or equipment. Any additional requirements will be listed before registration.
How large are your classes?
